How did you become a member of CrossFit Themis?
I was working out with a personal trainer on and off over the last few years. At one point, I felt I needed a little more out of my work outs and my husband said I should give CrossFit a try.I googled local CrossFit gyms and Andy was the first one to respond to me.I met with him the next day, and the rest is history !
What are you most proud of accomplishing so far?
I am super excited about how much my mental toughness has grown.I have always been a fighter, but taking myself to that point every work out, then pushing just a little more is really exciting!
What advice would you give to someone who thinks CrossFit would be too tough/time consuming/expensive/whatever for them?
The one piece of advice I would give someone about CrossFit is, you make time for the important things in your life.My stress relief, mental health, and physical health are all very important to me, and the one of the ways I deal with it is going to Themis and getting through a kick ass WOD.
How has Crossfit helped you outside of the gym?
CrossFit has helped me outside of the gym with my confidence and sense of self-worth.Candidly, I’ve always struggled with my confidence and self-esteem, and being able to work hard at the gym and experience all the good, bad, and the ugly of CrossFit has made all the difference.I often feel like if I can make it through these WOD’s, there’s not too much that can hold me back. CrossFit has been a total game-changer for me and I’m grateful for it!
